Gravity casting of aluminum alloys is a precision casting technology that uses permanent metal molds. Unlike die casting, which relies on high-pressure injection, gravity casting utilizes natural gravity to allow molten aluminum to flow smoothly and slowly into and fill the mold cavity. This effectively prevents air entrapment, resulting in a denser, less porous internal structure in the casting. Therefore, it allows for advanced heat treatments such as T6, further significantly improving the material's mechanical strength and toughness. This process not only delivers excellent surface smoothness and dimensional accuracy but is also particularly suitable for developing critical components with complex internal structures, specific thin-wall requirements, and the ability to withstand high loads.
